The views from the Queen Suite were unforgettable, with the scenery of the mountains framing Lake Tekapo like a postcard. The electric kettle and cookies provided in the room were a nice touch, making for a cozy vibe during my stay.
Carrying luggage up the external staircase was a hassle and might not be ideal for those with heavy bags. The shared bathroom situation could be uncomfortable if the place were more crowded, and the room itself was on the smaller side. everything else was pleasant, but these minor inconveniences were noticeable.

great location with some drawbacks
The location provided amazing views of Lake Tekapo. The spacious Queen Suite ensured a comfortable stay. The hosts were welcoming, adding a personal touch to the experience, which was lovely amidst the serene mountain view.
The continental breakfast, though tasty, felt a bit limited.

The breathtaking views of Lake Tekapo were simply stunning.
Unfortunately, our stay was marred by discomfort in the upstairs Queen Suite. The heat made it quite stuffy, and the absence of flyscreens led to a mosquito invasion when we tried to ventilate the room. the external stairs were slippery, posing a hazard during our rainy days.

We couldn't use her kitchen, but that didn’t dim our culinary adventure at nearby gems like Blue Lake Eatery & Bar and Doughboys Bakery.

The host's warm hospitality shines through her thoughtful gestures, like providing a detailed map to local attractions. The breakfast, made with freshly baked bread and perfectly cooked eggs, was a highlight of the stay. the lack of adequate heat in the upstairs room made it uncomfortable at times, and the slippery external stairs were a concern during rainy weather. there weren't any flyscreens, leading to some bugs coming in when we opted for ventilation.
